Our non-profit clients look to us to prepare their annual
audit. These audits will include a review of internal controls and a
meeting with management to review weaknesses and possible solutions.
Many non-profits consult with us on the special accounting
and tax issues that they encounter.
Some of our clients are also required to have a single audit.
This requirement is imposed by the U.S. Government, when the
organization receives over $500,000 in Federal funds annually. In
Addition to the financial audit, the single audit includes an audit of
internal controls and testing to verify that the recipient of the funds
has complied with the purpose for which the organization was granted the
finds.
Many NYS funding services require a year end reconciliation
which is done through a Consolidated Financial Report (CFR). These
reports usually require an auditor’s certification. We are qualified to
perform this function. In addition, in some instances we assist in the
preparation of the CFR report.
Non-profits have a very unique set of tax filing
requirements. We are well versed in both Federal and State non-profit
tax filing including forms 990, 990-T and 990-PF.
We can help you obtain Not for Profit Status with the IRS and
State authorities. We prepare Application Form 1023 or 1024. If your
